Tommer Peterson

PlayMakers: Highway 47.

Tommer Peterson is an independent theatre artist and designer. Recent set design credits include Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo (The Ensemble, 2013); Highway 47 (American Records, 2013); Three Sisters (Juniata College, 2012); Mistakes Madeline Made (Washington Ensemble Theater, 2008); Bobbie and Jerome, Dinah Was, Obama,The Musical (Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center, 2006, 2007, 2009); A Christmas Carol (The Moore Theater/Bishop Blanchet, 2008); Sex and Death (Balagan Theater, 2009). He is the author of two plays, Va-Va-Va-Voom and No One On Board Took Notice, and co-author with KJ Sanchez of the documentary plays Night at the Opera and Duck Soup. Peterson also served as producer for Four Short Plays: Four Big Ideas, conceived and directed by KJ Sanchez for Grantmakers in the Arts and the Council on Foundations. He received the NEA United States/Japan Fellowship in 1989 and studied Japanese calligraphy in Japan, 1989-90.
