Go behind the scenes at PlayMakers through new Vision Series

PlayMakers is the professional theater company in residence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The free series in the Paul Green Theatre in the Center for Dramatic Art offers an opportunity to share a glass of wine or coffee and other refreshments while learning about the productions in process.

A “Vision Series” event, free and open to the public at 6:30 p.m., will take place as a preview for each of the theater’s Mainstage plays. The dates are as follows:

• Sept. 16: “Opus” (the Mainstage season-opener and a regional premiere),
• Nov. 4: “The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby,”
• Jan. 20: “All My Sons,” and
• Feb. 24: “The Importance of Being Earnest”.

Reservations are encouraged for these events. Call the PlayMakers box office at (919) 962-PLAY (7529) to reserve a space or purchase play tickets, or visit www.playmakersrep.org.

Whole Foods Market of Chapel Hill is food and wine sponsor and Counter Culture Coffee will provide coffee for “The Vision Series”.

Based in UNC’s College of Arts and Sciences, PlayMakers is the Carolinas’ premiere resident professional theater company. New York’s Drama League named PlayMakers one of the “best regional theatres in America.”
