The Story Behind Ali Cat Toys
For over 30 years, Ali Cat Toys has served the Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and surrounding communities. The store was originally started by a local mom and named after her daughter, Ali. It began as a place to find educational toys, books, and tapes—a legacy that has continued and evolved under Bipin’s care.

“We definitely want to expand. Not only in terms of increasing the products we offer, but also looking for the opportunity to open another store in the area. We also want to evolve with time so that we can continue to cater to the needs and wants of the community.
Most importantly, we plan to preserve and continue the legacy that past owners have left. No matter how old you are, you will have a shared moment of fun and joy, and a great shopping experience,” says Bipin Shah.
