Lexi Silva

Lexi Silva (she/her) is the Dramaturgy Fellow at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a dual appointment at PlayMakers Repertory Company. She is an alumna of Indiana University, Bloomington where she completed an MFA in Dramaturgy in the program’s inaugural cohort. Lexi also holds an M.A. in English Literature from California State University, Stanislaus where she previously received a dual B.A. in Theatre Arts and English.  A freelance contributor for American Theatre magazine, Chicago, she began her career as a Literary Intern at Steppenwolf Theatre Company prior to moving to the Triangle. Her most recent research explores embodied practices and active dramaturgy in new play development processes. Lexi is from Hilmar, California.
