1918 ● Carolina Playmakers
Professor Frederick Koch (“Proff Koch”) founded the Carolina Playmakers, a troupe of writers and actors made up of students, faculty, and community members.
1976 ● PlayMakers Repertory Company is Born
The Carolina Playmakers takes a final bow and PlayMakers Repertory Company launches as a professional regional theatre.
