Setting the Scene
A pre-show discussion with PlayMakers’ resident dramaturgs to help contextualize the World of the Play right before enjoying the production. The conversation is fluid and free-ranging, but subject matter can include: themes of the play, the playwright’s biography, the historical and sociopolitical context of the story, etc. The perfect way to frame your experience before diving in!
MINDPLAY
In partnership with the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas, we present this series of post-show conversations that offer a psychoanalytic reading of our Mainstage productions. These conversations are free and take place immediately following the performance.
Where Are We NOW?
As part of our 2019/20 Legacy | NOW season, PlayMakers is hosting a series of post-show conversations facilitated by local artists, scholars, and cultural workers entitled: Where Are We NOW? After select performances, we will invite audience members to gather in an adjacent space for a fluid, dynamic, and intergenerational discussion on the themes of each play.
