CHAPEL HILL – Carolina basketball tickets, a week-long trip to London and dinner at The Fearrington House Country Inn near Chapel Hill will be among the many items available in PlayMakers Repertory Company’s upcoming online auction.
Bids can be placed via the “Auction” link on the company’s Web site, www.playmakersrep.org, from 8 a.m. April 21 through 8 p.m. April 30.
All proceeds from the fifth annual auction will support the artistic, outreach and educational work of PlayMakers, the professional nonprofit theater company in residence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. PlayMakers serves an annual audience of nearly 50,000 and has served over 103,000 area youth through its educational programming.
Participants also will have a chance to bid on vacation getaways, such as a weekend at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Fla.; selections from local businesses Peacock Alley, William Travis Jewelry and Persian Carpet, among other items; dinners from Bin 54 of Chapel Hill and other fine restaurants; events such as private dinners with celebrity guests; plus one-of-a-kind treasures, including a custom-tailored jacket from Alexander Julian, fine ceramics by North Carolina potter Rusty Sieck, and much more.
