Paula Morello Bennett

A recent graduate of the MFA Directing Program at the University of Washington in Seattle, Paula joined PlayMakers through a fellowship from the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. Recent Seattle credits include two devised pieces: FEAST I at the Penthouse Theatre and FEAST II at Lucid Jazz Lounge. In graduate school, Paula directed the American premier of Rona Munro’s The Last Witch, Translations by Brian Friel and The Mystery Plays by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Her short film Cafe Dolci premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival and Action on Film Festival in Los Angeles and was nominated for several awards. Before graduate school, Paula traveled to prisons as part of the Engaged Theatre Project and was an assistant director at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. She has directed numerous plays for the fringe festival circuit including: The Gift by Louise Zamparutti, Riders to the Sea by J.M. Synge and The Marlboro Man by Clare Dowling.
